The Hangover Trail
Hangover Trail: An Easy Walk with Horse-Related Hazards
After my lovely other half overdid it a little, we decided to keep things easy. Better to get outside for a gentle walk than to spend the whole day recovering on the couch. That’s how this one earned its nickname: Hangover Trail.
From the map, it looked like the trail was tucked into a neighborhood. Turns out, it’s part of a huge park with plenty of hiking options and different routes to choose from. We picked Wrangler Trail, which was easy enough—but not marked at all, so keep your map handy.
The trail was busy, and there was plenty of horse poop along the way. Watch your step. Some trail hazards are more memorable than others.
Still, it made for a nice, easy Sunday walk. It’s dog-friendly, low-key, and a good choice when your hiking ambitions are slightly stronger than your energy levels.
